The G1000® All-Glass Avionics Suite from Garmin® is not only very popular in business aviation, but also increasingly in private aviation. The reason for this is undoubtedly the wide range of functions, which not only bring undreamt-of comfort but also safety into the cockpit. However, this comes at the price of a complex system that requires in-depth training.

The brainchild B1000 Avionic Desktop Trainer (ADT) provides the optimal environment to learn how to use the Garmin® G1000® effectively and above all stress-free. During development, special attention was paid to making sure that the B1000 ADT not only looks and feels like the original, but also behaves like it. The B1000 ADT supports all training scenarios, be it on the ground, in the air, visual flight (VFR) or instrument flight (IFR) and is therefore an indispensable teaching aid for flight schools and air sports clubs to train student pilots, refresh pilot knowledge or retrain experienced pilots.

FAQs

What does the B1000 Avionic Desktop Trainer (ADT) cost?

The price of a unit depends on the quantity ordered and the desired accessories. In order to receive a tailor-made offer for you, please send us a corresponding inquiry. In this context, please let us know how many units you would like to purchase, and whether we should make you a financing or leasing offer.

!!! Please note that our offer is directed exclusively to buyers who are to be regarded as entrepreneurs in the sense of § 14 paragraph 1 BGB. For further details, please refer to the General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Delivery.

How does the B1000 Avionic Desktop Trainer (ADT) differ from the official Garmin® G1000® simulation software?

The Garmin® G1000® Simulation Software is designed for use on a standard Windows PC. It only supports a limited selection of aircraft configurations. The software can only be operated by mouse and keyboard. There is no audio panel available. The simulation itself is configured using the PFD/MFD control panel (take-off conditions, etc.).
In order to run the software, a separate PC with sufficient power is required.

The B1000 ADT is a compact device and comes with everything you need right out of the box. No installation required. Just plug in the power and off you go. The device is operated exclusively via the realistic control panel. The simulation is configured via the integrated touch screen.

There are 5 pre-configured aircraft available for selection. If the desired configuration is not included, individual profiles can be easily created. It is possible to select an aircraft with a piston engine, turboprop or jet engine; as well as configuring the number of engines. The aircraft specific displays, such as speedometer and engine monitoring, can be configured to the last detail. In principle, any aircraft type is supported.

Is a navigation database included?

Yes! The B1000 Avionic Desktop Trainer (ADT) comes with a global navigation database. The database of the original Garmin® G1000 is updated every 28 days. We also try to keep this cycle. Therefore, updated data is available approximately every 28 days.

Currently, however, updating the database can only be done by our technicians, as part of the technology flat. We are working on providing future updates via the Internet, so that the device is always up to date.

Which aircraft models are available for training?

With the B1000 Avionic Desktop Trainer (ADT), you can use any aircraft that comes with a Garmin® G1000. The following aircraft are available for selection: Beechcraft G58, Cessna 182T and Cessna 172S.

If there is no suitable one, you can create a profile, specifically for your needs. You can choose between the following engine types: Piston, Turboprop, Jet. The number of engines is limited to two. Depending on the type of engine, further specific setting options are available.

Piston engines can have for example 4 or 6 cylinders and be equipped with a turbocharger, FADEC (Full Authority Digital Engine Control) or Constant Speed Propeller.

So with the "Custom Settings" you are able to configure your very special aircraft.

Will the Garmin® G1000® disappear from aeroplanes in the future?

No, on the contrary. The Garmin® G1000® has been installed in aeroplanes since 2007. Cessna has been supplying the world’s most used aircraft for decades and has been equipping them with the Garmin® G1000® since 2007. Aircraft in general aviation are used for well over 30 years, depending on the type. Hardly any new aircraft are equipped exclusively with analogue instruments. This means that the old “watch shop” aircraft are increasingly disappearing from the market. As a result, successively more and more aircraft with glass cockpits and thus also the Garmin® G1000® will conquer the market.

Note: Since 2017, Cessna is installing the next generation of the Garmin® G1000®, the G1000® NXi. This is primarily characterized by improved performance and a connection to mobile devices. Therefore, the B1000 Avionic Desktop Trainer is also ideally suited for training with these devices.

Is the B1000 Avionic Desktop Trainer (ADT) also suitable for training with the Garmin® G1000® NXi?

Yes, and without restrictions. The Garmin® G1000® NXi differs from its predecessor essentially only in terms of improved performance and connectivity to mobile devices. Therefore, the B1000 ADT is perfectly suited for training with the Garmin® G1000® NXi.
